We are offering an excellent career opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated sales professional to join our sales team, and to increase our portfolio of clients. As the Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the team to achieve sales targets for our products range by developing and maintaining relationships with clients and other influencers to source new business and expand on existing business. You are also expected to perform all the activities required to support a sales engagement from the initial meeting or demonstration through to technical closure.
Responsibilities and Duties
Analyse, structure, and execute end-to-end, enterprise sales deals.
provide pre-sales support and technical input for product development.
Research, identify and analyse sales opportunities and take relevant action to secure customer and market share.
Maintain account and opportunity detail in CRM tools.
Help educate potential customers while removing roadblocks for them to bring drones and Lidar mapping into their organization.
Build and nurture close working relationships with paying customers to better understand their needs and bring in Customer Success as needed to help.
Support existing customers and relay technical issues to the engineering team.
Positively represent and promote Emesent and its products at international forums and exhibitions.
Deliver product demonstrations and present technical information.
Frequent travel within Australia and abroad is a job requirement.
Monitor market changes, trends and competitor activity.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Tertiary qualifications in mining, surveying, engineering, or related fields.
5 years experience in pre-sale, sales, and/or business development in a technical industry - preferably in the mining industry.
Demonstrated customer relationship management experience.
Strong understanding of the industry and competitor trends.
The ability to proactively engage with both corporate and site-based external stakeholders and clients.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate the Emesent value proposition to prospects and clients.
Able to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Experience in selling products or services to mining companies.
Background in surveying or GIS.
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Significant interest in industrial innovation and technologies, with the ability to communicate and identify new opportunities for application of the technology.
Demonstrated experience in taking new and technologically advanced products to market.
