As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Electronics Engineer who is passionate about embedded electronics and robotic systems. You will be responsible for designing electronics solutions for the next generation of Emesent’s drone autonomy and mapping products, performing testing of prototypes and pre-production units, and have input to development program project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities and Duties
Designing electronics schematics and PCB layout.
Meet architecture and interface requirements whilst designing, developing, prototyping, and verifying new products from concept through to production.
Research, design and development of products for manufacture.
Testing, verification and validation of designed products to ensure they meet the necessary requirements and specifications under anticipated usage scenarios and operating conditions.
Liaise with internal customers, suppliers and sub-contractors in relation to design architecture, interfaces and issues.
Assist in the preparation and review of system documentation including System Specifications, Risk Analyses, Regulatory Submissions etc.
Write critical verification and investigation reports to a high level of detail.
Interface with other project stakeholders to ensure that the system objectives are balanced with overall project objectives.
Maintain technical skills and awareness of technical improvements, advice management team of new technological advances.
Firmware development in embedded C or other languages.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
You have a Bachelors or Master degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Electronic circuit design skills, schematics and PCB design, from concept, prototype, and through to production (Altium prefered).
Strong knowledge of component selection and PCB assembly manufacturing processes.
Experience designing power and embedded microcontroller circuits.
Good hand soldering and reflow fabrication skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
You have experience with robotic systems and familiarity with various concepts in robotics.
Embedded software/firmware development experience.
Experience with Solidworks or similar CAD packages.
Preferably have experience with EMC and Electrical Safety testing, or have followed other similar standards.
